In this video, David Steindal- rast talks about what it takes to be grateful and how it could impact peoples everyday lives. He says how people assume when your happy your grateful, but is it really the happy people that are grateful? or the grateful people that are happy. David begins to prove that its not happiness that makes us grateful but gratefulness that makes us happy. He says that when something is freely given to us, gratefulness flows spontaneously because we feel so honored to have something so great freely given to us. Once we receive our given moment, he says to take the opportunity and do something with it. Make a difference in someones life or even yours.
There's a simple way to live gratefully. In fact we do it before crossing the street. Stop, look, go. Stop and smell the roses, look at what you have everyday and be happy because there's a lot of people out there that wish they had what you had. Then go and make something out of it. Find the opportunity and seize it. Do something to make a difference.
This video has opened my eyes to many things that i didn't find grateful in my life. But now i understand that i have so many things that others don't have. I have a roof over my head, food on my plate, and a family that loves me, and i am truly grateful. :)
